Until now, women in the martial arts have had to make do with uniforms designed for their male counterparts. In the spirit of updating tradition, we are very pleased introduce the first hakama designed especially for women.

Our Women's Cotton Hakama is inconspicuously adjusted at the side vents to accommodate women's waistlines and to provide more room in the hips. This results in a smoother fit across the back, and less wrap around the waist. It's a simple adjustment that makes a big difference in the fit and drape of the hakama.

This 10 oz. 100% Women's Hakama is a tightly woven and exceedingly durable fabric, with the individual color variation associated with an all-natural fabric.

Because Bu Jin® Women's Cotton Hakama are made in-house and to your specifications, we carefully and expertly construct your hakama with the features you choose, including your choice of:

Women's Kyudo Hakama
Back by popular request, our Women's Kyudo Hakama (Not Shown) features all the care and attention to detail as our Women's Hakama. Following tradition, this hakama is tailored as a skirt rather than parts, and the back has a waistband instead of a koshiita. Front band and himo are 1.5" wide and 179" long. Back band and himo are 2.5" wide and 79" long.
