This image was created in 2002 using a variety of methods. It began as a pencil drawing on paper. Once the desired image was achieved on paper it was then digitally enhanced using a water-washed ink process to create a free flowing effect.

Sankyo is one of my favorite techniques. It fully demonstrates what aikido and its power are all about - with very little movement great distances can be covered.

"Sankyo - 3rd Technique" is available printed on plain heavy stock and is 11" wide by 14" tall, signed and numbered by the artist, Michael Aloia.
